The Tanners secured their first victory under ex-professional Jimmy Bullard who was subsequently sent off against AFC Sudbury.

In what was a feisty encounter, Leatherhead FC took the lead through Evander Lopes but were pegged back by Liam Wales in the 56th minute.

However, boss Bullard was incensed after a penalty decision wasn’t given for his team, and encroached on the pitch to remonstrate. He was subsequently sent to the stands for the last 20 minutes, with striker Tom Bradbrook also being sent off for protesting.

The victory bumps the Surrey club out of the relegation zone.

The club also announced that David Norris, who has made over 400 appearances in the football league with teams such as Leeds, Blackpool, Hull and Ipswich, has signed for the club. It would appear that working under Bullard’s will be attract more signings like this during his tenure.
