Before their match against Chester on Saturday, Bromley FC announced they had signed Michael Ngoo.
The 24 year old striker was a product of the Liverpool FC academy, having joined the Premier League side in 2009 from Southend United for a fee up to £250,000.
There was lots of excitement surrounding the youngster on Merseyside, after his first season in the U18 team resulted in 15 goals in 21 appearances.
In 2013 he was loaned to Scottish Premier League side Hearts, where he picked up valuable first team experience and scored 5 goals in this time north of the boarder. His chance at Anfield never materialised and he was released in 2014.
Ngoo returned to the SPL after he was demeaned surplus to requirements at Liverpool, and signed for Kilmarnock. His couldn’t replicate his earlier youth form and left the Scottish side in the summer.
Bromley have taken the opportunity to bring in the former Premier League youngster as they look to bolster their forward line and improve on their 15th place in the National League.
The 6 ft 6 in striker was thrown straight into the playing squad, coming on as a 78th minute substitute against Chester. He failed to make an impact in front of goal but did manage to pick up a yellow card.
