National League side Eastleigh announced Martin Allen as their new boss.

Yesterday news broke that Ronnie Moore had left the club after 3 months due to personal circumstances. The Hampshire based club have moved quickly to fill the vacancy by appointing the experienced Allen.

The former West Ham midfielder had been enjoying his fourth spell at League Two side Barnet, until Eastleigh Chairman Stewart Donald sought permission to discuss the Spitfires job.

‘Mad dog’ has a pedigree with Non-League football, having gained promotion with Barnet in 2015 and continued a successful transition into League football, with the Bees currently in 8th place.

Eastleigh are currently sitting in 9th place and eight points adrift of the play-off places. The Ten Acres faithful will be hoping Allen will be able to utilise his experience to move them up the table, and closer to their football league dream.
